This view is looking eastward on Speedvale Avenue. I am so glad the crews were able to get the intersection back to normal before the weekend and even in spite of that torrential rainstorm than interrupted work on Thursday afternoon. We shouldn't take it for granted, because anyone who has been driving around our construction laden city can tell you of other intersections that have been closed over weekends and longer. Also due to their completion of the intersection all business accesses are open.
http://dawsonroadtoday.blogspot.comLast week I mentioned the green and white pipes that have been dropped off at the construction site. These are sewer pipes that will be connected to the big cement sewer pipes that have already been buried along Dawson Road. The green and white pipes are made of PVC from recycled plastic making them more environmentally friendly. The white pipes are 6 inches in diameter and the green types are 8 inches in diameter.
Even though my store, Plants For All, is not open on the weekends I was down here for part of Saturday and Sunday doing some extra work. I was pleased to see more traffic on Saturday and I hope you took advantage of the nice weather and the Dawson Road businesses that were open.
If you have your to-do- list ready, come on down. It's a great day to do business on Dawson Road.
